TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati (8-8-1, 2-7 BIG EAST) women's soccer team lost, 1-0, against the University of South Florida (9-4-2, 4-3-2 BIG EAST) in a BIG EAST Conference match on Sunday at USF Soccer/Track and Field Stadium.
Neither squad was able to score in the first half. USF scored in the 64th minute when Gina Pacheco took a cross from Venicia Reed and hit the back of the net. UC was outshot, 21-5, for the match and the Bulls held an 8-0 advantage on corner kicks.
Jazmine Rhodes (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Polytechnic) took three of UC's five shots. Ashley Daniels (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) played the entire 90 minutes in goal, finishing with 10 saves.
The Bearcats will play their final road matches of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 22, and Sunday, Oct. 24. UC will play at Rutgers on the 22nd at 7 p.m. and at Seton Hall in a 1 p.m. match on the 24th.
