- University of Cincinnati junior midfielder Matt Bahner (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) was named to the all-BIG EAST second team and senior goalkeeper Matt Williams (Portland, Maine/Cheverus) earned third-team honors on Thursday (Nov. 11) at the annual awards banquet on the eve of the BIG EAST Championship semifinal matches.

Bahner leads the Bearcats with seven goals and 19 points. He was a three-time BIG EAST Honor Roll honoree and scored three game winners. He posted four goals and five assists in conference play and tallied the winner at Seton Hall on Oct. 16.

Williams set a single-season school record for goals against average this season with a 0.61 GAA. He ranks 11th in the nation in goals against average and 13th in the country in save percentage (.845). Williams posted nine shutouts this season and is second in school history with 20 career clean sheets.

The Bearcats will take on Providence in the BIG EAST Championship semifinal on Friday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. The game will be televised live on CBS College Sports from Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.
