CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team hosted approximately 20 Major League Baseball scouts on Thursday for its annual Scout Day.

"It's an exciting day for us because we get to showcase all of our players to the baseball community," said head Coach Brian Cleary.

Hosted each fall by the Bearcats, Scout Day allows professional baseball talent evaluators an opportunity to assess the skills of UC players in person.

The scouts were treated to lunch and then invited to Marge Schott Stadium to watch the Bearcats practice before the team played an exhibition game.

"We are really proud to show off our guys and we are really proud of the track record we have of sending our players into pro baseball," said Cleary.

The Bearcats continue fall practice until they start their annual Red/Black World Series Nov. 18-21 at Marge Schott Stadium.
