CINCINNATI - Three members of the University of Cincinnati volleyball team were named to the Northeast All-Region team, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.

Seniors Stephanie Niemer (Erlanger, Ky./St. Henry) and Annie Fesl (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) and sophomore Jordanne Scott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) were all garnered with the distinction after an outstanding 30-win 2010 season.

Niemer, an outside hitter, finished the season ranked fourth in the NCAA in kills per set (5.12) and third in points per set (5.93). The 2010 BIG EAST Player of the Year has now been an AVCA All-Regional performer for two seasons in a row after also earning the accolade following last year. She finished her career ranked first in Cincinnati history in service aces and second in kills and kills per set.

Fesl, a four-year starter at setter, concluded her senior season ranked fifth in the nation in assists per set (12.07) and finished the regular season first in the BIG EAST in that category. Fesl was an All-BIG EAST First Team selection in 2010 and 2009, while landing on the second team in 2008. The Arlington Heights, Ill. native sits at No. 2 on UC's all-time assists chart and fourth on the assists per set list.

Scott came into her own during her sophomore season, earning 2010 All-BIG EAST First Team honors. The 6-2 Indianapolis native led the team in attack percentage (.333) from the middle blocker position, and finished behind Niemer for second in kills per set (2.84).
