CINCINNATI --Redshirt freshman Sean Kilpatrick scored a career-high 26 points, hitting all five of his shots from behind the arc, and Cincinnati stayed unbeaten with a 77-69 victory over Wright State on Wednesday night inside Fifth Third Arena.

The Bearcats (6-0) are off to their best start since 2004-05, when they won their first 11 games and reached the NCAA tournament for the last time. The six-game winning streak is their longest since 2005-06.

UC was 28-of-55 shooting for a season-high 50.9 percent field-goal percentage. The Bearcats also committed a season-low eight turnovers, the lowest number since Nov. 25, 2009 when UC had just six giveaways against Gonzaga.

Kilpatrick led a 15-3 surge in the first half and a 17-2 run in the second that built the lead to 20 points, 62-42, with 7:44 to go.

Wright State (3-4) had trouble with Cincinnati's full-court pressure, which set up 26 points off 15 Raiders' turnovers.

Troy Tabler and Vaughn Duggins led Wright State with 18 points apiece.

Five Bearcats hit double figures, the first time the feat has been achieved since Jan. 30, 2010 against Providence. Kilpatrick led the way with his 26, followed by Dion Dixon with 11, with Cashmere Wright, Yancy Gates, and Rashad Bishop adding 10 points apiece.

Bishop and Gates tied for the game high with seven rebounds each. UC turned 10 offensive rebounds into 13 second-chance points.

UC returns to the floor Saturday, hitting the road for the first time this season to face the Toledo Rockets in Savage Arena. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. The game will not be televised, but is available on the radio at 700 WLW AM. Tom Gelehrter (play-by-play) and Chuck Machock (analyst) will have the call.
