CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati and Xavier University have long been rivals on the basketball court. This year they are coming together with Hoxworth Blood Center in order to promote blood donation during the holidays.

Donate blood Wednesday, Dec. 22 at the official Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout Blood Drive. The drive will be held at the Cintas Center between the hours of 1pm and 7pm. All donors will receive a FREE Skyline Cheese Coney and a limited edition Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout T-shirt.

All donors will be entered to win a variety of prizes ranging from signed basketballs and programs to a pair of tickets to the Skyline Crosstown Shootout game on Jan. 6, 2011.

If you cannot make the drive on Dec. 22, don't fret. You can still support UC and XU by donating at any Hoxworth Neighborhood Donor Center Dec. 27 thru Jan. 6. You will still receive the limited edition Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout T-shirt; which is only available to Hoxworth blood donors.

Due to the popularity of this promotion, appointments are highly encouraged. Call (513) 451-0910 or (800) 830-1091 to schedule an appointment or visit www.hoxworth.org/groups/shootout to schedule online or find a community mobile in your area.
