SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS

-On Wednesday, the Mountaineers fell to Louisville, 55-54. WVU, which led 37-26 at halftime, went over 11 minutes without a field goal in the second half to allow the Cardinals to come back and win the game.
-Senior guard Casey Mitchell, WVU's leading scorer at 16.6 ppg, has been suspended indefinitely, head coach Bob Huggins announced on Monday. Mitchell ranks in the BIG EAST top 10 in ppg, free throw percentage, and made three-point field goals.
-The Mountaineers lead the BIG EAST in three-point field goal percentage defense, allowing opponents to shoot just .278 from behind the arc. They also rank second in the conference in offensive rebounds, averaging 15.21 offensive boards per game.
