PERRYSBURG, Ohio - Jasmine Lee and Ashleigh Witte won two points for the University of Cincinnati tennis team but the Bowling Green State University tennis team won the doubles point and captured four of six singles matches for a 5-2 victory over the Bearcats on Saturday night (Feb. 5). The non-conference dual match was held at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.
Lee won the point in the No. 2 position, defeating Mary Hill, 6-3, 6-0. Witte, a freshman, earned the win in the No. 4 position over Emily Reuland, 6-3, 7-5. Witte and Elise Woulfe teamed up in the No. 2 position in doubles and won seven games.
Cincinnati returns to action next weekend as the Bearcats begin BIG EAST Conference play. UC will play Seton Hall at Syracuse on Saturday, Feb. 12, and take on host Syracuse on Sunday, Feb. 13. Both matches will begin at 10 a.m.
