Ksenia Slynko won two No. 1 singles matches this weekend as the University of Cincinnati opened Big East play away from home, defeating Seton Hall University on Saturday, 7-0, and dropping a 6-1 decision to Syracuse University on Sunday. Both matches were played at Syracuse's Drumlins Tennis Center.
The doubles team of Ashleigh Witte and Elise Woulfe also notched two victories, moving their record to 4-2 on the season.
After the split, the Bearcats' record is 1-6. Seton Hall dropped to 1-5 and Syracuse improved to 7-1.
The Bearcats return home to host three matches next weekend at the Western Tennis and Fitness Center. UC will face the University of Toledo 6 p.m. Friday and then play a pair of matches on Saturday, squaring off against the University of Dayton at 10 a.m. and the University of Akron at 5 p.m.
