VILLANOVA, Pa. - Jeanise Randolph (Calumet City, Ill./Thornton Fractional North) scored a career-high 20 points but the University of Cincinnati women's basketball team fell, 64-44, at Villanova on Tuesday (Feb. 15) in the Pavilion.

True freshman Randolph hit on 10-of-11 from the floor and surpassed her previous career best of 13, which she set against Miami (OH) on Jan. 2. Shareese Ulis (Toledo, Ohio/Trinity Valley C.C.) added 11 points for the Bearcats (8-16, 1-11 BIG EAST), connecting on three three-pointers. She has now knocked down a three in 26 straight games dating to the 2009-10 season.

Lindsay Kimmel led all scorers with a career-high 23 points, knocking down seven three-pointers. Devon Kane (career-high 11 points) and Laura Sweeney (10) were also in double figures for the Wildcats (9-16, 1-11).

Villanova jumped out to a 22-11 lead halfway through the first half, hitting on 10 of its first 16 shots from the floor. The Wildcats pushed the lead to as much as 15, 30-15, on a Devon Kane three with 3:21 to go in the stanza. UC closed to 30-20 before a Laura Sweeney layup just before the halftime buzzer sent the Wildcats to the locker room with a 32-20 lead.

Villanova extended the lead on the strength of Kimmel's shooting, taking a 43-24 advantage after her second triple of the second half at the 16:52 mark.

The Bearcats never got closer than 18 the rest of the way in dropping their 10th straight.

Randolph's 20 points were the most for a UC freshman since Shanasa Sanders scored 25 against Seton Hall on Jan. 17, 2009.

The Bearcats return to Fifth Third Arena for a two-game home stretch, starting with Providence on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m.
