LINCOLN, Mass. - University of Cincinnati men's soccer 2011 signee Cole DeNormandie (Lincoln, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury Regional) was named the 2010-11 Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Soccer Player of the Year by The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with ESPN RISE.
The 6-foot, 180-pound senior forward recorded 18 goals and six assists this past season for Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School, leading the Warriors (14-2-2) to the Division 1 North Sectional Quarterfinals.
DeNormandie, the first Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from Lincoln-Sudbury, was also an ESPN RISE third-team all-America selection and a two-time all-America selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. A CollegeSoccerNews.com Top 150 recruit, DeNormandie was also the 2010 Boston Globe Division 1 Player of the Year and a three-time Dual County League MVP.
DeNormandie, who will join the Bearcats for the 2011 season, concluded his prep soccer career with 64 goals and 22 assists.
