CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team celebrated its annual Night of Champions Friday, inside the bubble at the Jefferson Avenue Sports Complex.

Members of the 1200 Club were on hand has well as nearly 50 members of the UC faculty as the Bearcats held Faculty Appreciation Night. The invited guests were treated to dinner, a facility tour, and a one-on-one session with head coach Butch Jones, prior to the events inside the bubble.

The culmination of the program's winter conditioning schedule, Night of Champions is one of the key components of the Bearcat Olympics program. Each of the nine Bearcat Olympics teams competed in eight events at Night of Champions, including a bat relay, buddy relay, farmers walk, fast man relay, obstacle course, touchdown celebration, water balloon toss and bench press contest.

The blue team, captained by Dan Giordano (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) and D.J. Woods (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville) was consistent through the evening, placing among the top three in all eight events and earning the overall win.

Members of the blue squad also included Evan Davis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain), Danny Milligan (Cincinnati, Ohio/St. Xavier), Jordan Stepp (Indianapolis, Ind./Ben Davis), Monte Taylor (Los Angeles, Calif./Washington/El Camino CC), Adrian Witty (Deerfield Beach, Fla./Deerfield Beach), Darrin Williams (Detroit, Mich./Martin Luther King), and Orion Woodard (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes).

Guests in attendance had the opportunity to interact with UC's players and coaches, as well as get a glimpse inside the Jefferson Avenue Sports Complex Practice Bubble.

UC opens spring practice on March 28, leading up to Bearcat Bowl V on April 16 and the close of spring football on April 30.
