DADE CITY, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati men's golf team finished in a 17th-place tie at the USF Invitational on March 6 at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) was UC's top finisher, posting an even par 74-72-70=216 to place tied for 21st.
Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) (75-75-76=226) and Spencer Mellon (Oakmont, Pa./Central Catholic) (75-75-77=227) finished 65th and 66th, respectively.
The Bearcats posted rounds of 300-301-298=899 to tie with Marquette, which posted rounds of 297-298-304=899. Middle Tennessee State won the team title at 26-under par (274-277-287=838).
MTSU's Hunter Green (67-67-71=205) won medalist honors with an 11-under performance.
The Bearcats are next in action at the Seminole Intercollegiate on March 10-12 in Tallahassee, Fla.
