TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati men's golf team finished 11th at the Seminole Intercollegiate on Sunday, March 13, at the Southwood Golf Course.
The Bearcats posted rounds 296-296-294=886 to place in 11th, three shots behind Georgia State (296-293-294=883), who finished 10th. Arkansas won the team title with rounds of 277-287-280=844, three shots ahead of Kennesaw State (290-281-276=847). Host Florida State (287-280-282=849) was third.
David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) was UC's top finisher, placing tied for 11th with rounds of 76-70-68=214. Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) finished tied for 57th (73-76-76=225) and Zack Bates (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) was tied for 64th (69-76-82=227).
Drew Kittleson of host Florida State (72-69-67=208), Kennesaw State's Jeff Karlsson (71-70-67=208), and Sebastian Cappelen of champion Arkansas (68-71-69=208) tied for the individual title at five under par.
The Bearcats will next be in action on April 4-5 at the Mizzou Invitational in Columbia, Mo.
