The University of Cincinnati baseball team opens BIG EAST Conference play on Friday when it opens a three-game series against St. John's University at Jack Kaiser Stadium in Queens, N.Y. Game 1 of the series starts at 3 p.m. ET. First Pitch for the second game is scheduled at 1 p.m. ET Saturday. The final game of the series will start at noon ET on Sunday. SERIES INFORMATION
-The University of Cincinnati and St. John's Univeristy have played 13 games alltime.
-The Bearcats have won six of those 13 games. ff The first matchup occured during the 2006 season when UC joined the BIG EAST.

-The defending BIG EAST Tournament champions, St. John's (9-8) takes a four-game winning streak into Friday's matchup with the Bearcats.

PETERS STREAKING
-Senior shortstop Chris Peters is hitting at a .350 clip (14-for-40) in the last 12 games.
-He's also added seven RBI and seven stolen bases and one home run during that stretch.
-Peters hit his first home of the season in the seventh innings against Toledo on Wednesday.
-It was his first homer since May 15, 2009 vs. Seton Hall.
