EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team topped Connecticut, 6-1, in BIG EAST Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bearcats jumped out to early leads in all three doubles' matches and improved to 5-3 in the BIG EAST this season. UC is 6-10 overall.
Jasmine Lee, the reigning BIG EAST Player of the Week, defeated Emily Herb 6-3, 6-1, while Ashleigh Witte topped Alexa Gregory, 6-1, 6-2.
Caitlin O'Gara defeated Lauren Wilmarth, 6-2, 7-6, while Lindsey Lonergan topped Abby McKeon by 7-6, 6-1 scores. Safiyya Ismail was also a winner against Lucy Nutting, 6-4, 7-6.
