CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team claimed bragging rigths in the city of Cincinnati with a 5-2 victory over cross-town rival Xavier University on Sunday. The match was played at the Xavier University Tennis Courts.

It would be the bottom of the Bearcats' lineup that would deliver the win. UC claimed the doubles point with wins at Nos. 2 and 3, then took four of six singles points with wins at Nos. 2, 4, 5 and 6.

The win moves the Bearcats record to 7-12. They'll begin a stretch of four straight matches at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center - weather permitting - next Sunday when they face Marshall University at 10 a.m.
