MOREHEAD, Ky. - The University of Cincinnati baseball team travels south to the Bluegrass State to play Morehead State University in a 6:30 p.m. ET Wednesday matchup at Allen Field.

Cincinnati (13-12, 3-3 BIG EAST), coming off a three-game sweep of Georgetown University, will start sophomore left-handed pitcher Thomas Gentile (Westerville, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales). The sophomore is making his third consecutive midweek start of the season. In his previous two starts against University of Kentucky and University of Dayton, Gentile combined to throw for 12.2 innings while allowing just two earned runs with seven strikeouts.

Morehead State is starting Cody Gibson, who has appeared in nine games this season with four starts. He owns an 18.00 earned run average and has allowed 53 hits and 40 earned runs in 18 innings pitched. Opponents are batting .541 against Gibson on the season.

Cincinnati defeated MSU 9-7 last year after rallying for a six-run eighth inning to take the win. The Bearcats own a 30-22 advantage in their all-time series against the Eagles.
