Bearcats Fall to No. 53 Marshall, 6-1

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 53 Marshall on a beautiful Sunday (April 10) afternoon at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center.

Freshman Ashleigh Witte was the lone winner for the Bearcats (7-13), defeating Kristina Koprcina, 6-4, 6-0.

Safiyya Ismail pushed Maria Voscekova to a third-set tiebreaker, but fell 5-7, 6-4, 10-8. Jasmine Lee took the first set against Dominika Zaprazna, but eventually fell 3-6, 6-2, 7-5.

Marshall swept the doubles matches to earn the point.

The Bearcats will look to rebound on Monday when they welcome Youngstown State to the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center at 11 a.m.
