CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team topped Youngstown State, 6-1, on Monday afternoon at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club.
The Bearcats (8-13) earned the doubles point with the doubles tandems of Jasmine Lee/Safiyya Ismail (8-1) and Ashleigh Witte/Ksenia Slynko (8-3) winning their matches.
In singles competition, Slynko staged a drama-filled, back-and-forth match against Margarita Sadovnikova. Slynko fought back after dropping the first set, but eventually fell in a third-set tiebreak, 2-6, 7-6 (10-8), 8-10.
