CINCINNATI - The 2011 Crosstown Shootout, a golf matchup between The University of Cincinnati and Xavier University, slated to be played on Tuesday at Maketewah Country Club, has been postponed due to anticipated weather and the resulting course conditions.
Doug Martin, UC men's golf head coach, said efforts are being made to play the match at a later date that has yet to be determined.
The UC men's golf team is coming off last week's sixth-place finish at the BIG EAST men's golf championship. Senior Joe Kastelic (Newton, N.C./Fred T. Foard) finished third in the three-day tournament and sophomore David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) placed ninth.
