CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team invites you to the 2011 Bearcats Soccer Academy, which provides youth soccer player's the opportunity to receive hands-on training from Head Coach Michelle Salmon and her coaching staff.
"The Bearcat Soccer Academy is something that I look forward to each and every summer," said Salmon. "The facilities at the University of Cincinnati are top notch and being able to train where our current bearcats train is a great way to get the college feel!"
Camper's ages 5-12 are invited to register for the day camp, which is designed to help players work on their technical abilities and learn to play the game through a series of interactive activities. The camp will focus on making players more adept at completing the technical skills necessary to be successful in soccer under varying degrees of pressure.
It will also place players in an environment where they will have fun learning those soccer skills and developing the traits necessary to become a better soccer player.
"The day camps provide a great atmosphere for young girls to develop their love for the game of soccer and be introduced to more intense training," said Salmon.
The team also offers two overnight camps designed with competitive players in mind and is focused on players' age 13-18 that are serious about improving both their technical abilities and their understanding of the game.
This camp will feature positional training combined with tactical ideas, nutrition, speed and agility exercises and academic advising for college bound student-athletes.
"The Overnight camp is a fantastic way for players to start to understand what it is like to play at the college level! Our sessions cover both the technical and tactical aspect of the game."
