The University of Cincinnati baseball team resumes conference play Saturday when it visits Pittsburgh, Pa. to play the Pitt Panthers in a three-game series at Peterson Sports Complex. Cincinnati is coming off a three-game series sweep of Villanova University at Marge Schott Stadium, followed by a midweek win against cross-town rival Xavier University on Tuesday. The Bearcats and Panthers will play a doubleheader on Saturday, with Game 1 set to begin at 1 p.m. The second game of the doubleheader will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. The series finale is set to begin at noon Sunday. Senior right-handed pitcher Dan Jensen, who is coming off a seven-inning, 10-strikeout performance against Villanova, is slated to pitch the series opener. Sophomore RHP Andrew Strenge will throw Game 2, with senior RHP Nick Johnson expected to take the mound in the series finale.
