CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati head men's basketball coach Mick Cronin has extended an invite to all Bearcat basketball fans to participate in the third annual Coach Cronin's Bearcat Classic on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at Traditions Golf Club in Northern Kentucky.
Last year, the funds raised were used to allow the team to fly to road games on mid-sized chartered turbo-jets rather than commercial flights, allowing the student-athletes to miss a minimal amount of classes.
The cost is a donation of $750 per person or $1,500 per team. Those unable to play are encouraged to sponsor a hole of another group(s) for $500, or join the group at dinner and a social later in the evening for $250 per person.
Tucked away in the rolling hills of Northern Kentucky, Traditions Golf Club is a haven for golf enthusiasts. Founded in 1991, the 18-hole championship golf course has been ranked by Golf Digest as the third best course in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and by Turf Magazine as the second best course in the state.
