CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - University of Cincinnati senior golfer Bambee Dela Paz has been named to the 2011 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team, the organization announced Friday (July 8).
Dela Paz earned her second straight all-BIG EAST honor following her senior season. An Industrial Management major, she led the Bearcats with a 76.9 stroke average and won her third career tournament title, capturing the UC Fall Classic crown. Dela Paz had an exceptional fall season, finishing no lower than 26th and earned team MVP honors following the campaign.
A total of 566 women's Division I, II & III golfers received this prestigious recognition. Athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. Award winners must be of high moral character and in good standing at the college making the nomination. Founded in 1983, the National Golf Coaches Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing women's collegiate student-athletes and coaches.
