CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics announced the hiring of Brendan Fouracre as the associate director of athletics for facilities and operations.
"We are excited to have someone with Brendan's level of experience join our staff," said Interim Director of Athletics Bob Arkeilpane. "Although not that large in number, our full-time facilities and operations crew is already one of the hardest working groups in the building, and his leadership will no doubt be of great value moving forward."
Fouracre comes to UC after spending the last six years as the director of game and event management and facility scheduling at Louisiana State University. He oversaw all athletic event management functions, including the hiring, scheduling and training of more than 500 personnel, while assisting in managing the overall game management budget of approximately $1.5 million. Additionally, he served as director of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC), a 13,215 seat on-campus facility. He administered budgets, represented the PMAC for contracted events and oversaw all facility improvements, including the new competition and practice gym floor.
Prior to LSU, Fouracre had a four-year stint at Illinois State where he directed game operations for 19 varsity sports and managed two NCAA Regional Championships and Missouri Valley Conference championships.
He began his career in facilities management at University of Florida in 1999, where he provided game management for home athletic contests, assisted with capital improvement projects and supervised operations and staff for Touchdown Terrace on football game days, which included 3,000 seats, 18 luxury dens, 22 security, five maintenance and three EMT personnel.
A member of the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association's (CEFMA) Board of Directors, Fouracre graduated with a degree in physical education with a concentration in athletic administration from Springfield College in 1992. He later went on to pursue his master's from Springfield in 1999, while serving as the assistant baseball coach for his alma mater.
