CINCINNATI - This weekend, the University of Cincinnati volleyball team will take on two teams in the AVCA pre-season poll at the University of Northern Illinois Tournament in DeKalb, Illinois.
Friday's matches will be against No.14 Iowa State and host Northern Illinois. The Bearcats will then play against No.14 Northern Iowa and IUPUI on Saturday.
Looking to lead Cincinnati will be lone senior outside hitter Missy Harpenau who averaged 1.61 kills per set and 2.66 digs per set, sophomore libero Emily MacIntyre who averaged 3.49 digs per set and junior middle blocker Becca Refenes who averaged 1.18 blocks per set. The Bearcats received votes in the AVCA pre-season poll, a championship this weekend could very well propel them into the top 25.
