SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team will open its 2011-12 season at the Wild Eggs Cardinal Cup hosted by Louisville on Sept. 19-20.

The Cardinal Club Golf Course will play host to the event.

Returning to the Bearcats' squad this season are a pair of Swedish sophomores who saw extensive action as freshmen last season. Olivia Dose and Andrea Malek will lead the Bearcats in 2011-12, while junior Alex Carl and sophomore transfer Sage Roth also return after solid campaign.

The Bearcats will look to replace all-conference golfer Bambee Dela Paz, who held the team's No. 1 spot for parts of each of the last four seasons. Also gone from last season's team is Jenny Linville, a 2010 all-conference selection and UC's top finisher at the BIG EAST Championship last season (T-12th).

Three newcomers join the ranks, including junior transfer Maria Roos from Mississippi State. Freshmen Mackenzie Moir and Maria Rosselot round out the incoming class.

Cincinnati will head to the Penn State Nittany Lion Invitational Oct. 1-2 in State College, Pa.
