FORT MEYERS, Fla. - University of Cincinnati junior David Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) carded a 5-over-par 73-76=149 to tie for 29th place following 36 holes of play Sunday at the Cobra-Puma Invitational at Miromar Lakes Golf Club.
Final-round action begins Monday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. ET.
Tepe posted a 1-over 73 in the morning followed by a 3-over par 76 in the afternoon at the par 72, 7,372-yard Miromar Lake Golf Course.
The Bearcats recorded a 623 team score and stand 11th in the 12-team field after two rounds. Florida Gulf Coast leads the competition with a 564 score.
Other Bearcat scores have freshman Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) tied for 57th place at 77-80=157; freshman Mike Irwin (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) in 59th after a 79-79=158; junior Zach Bates (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) tied at 62nd at 80-80=160; and sophomore Spencer Mellon (Oakmont, Pa./Central Catholic) at 65th position at 85-79=164.
