LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Andrea Malek followed her first-round 70 with a 75 in the second round and sits in a tie for ninth at the Price's "Give 'Em Five" Intercollegiate at the New Mexico State Golf Course.
Malek's 70-75=145 is tied with three other golfers at one over par.
Alex Carl (76-77=153) and Maria Roos (77-76=153) are tied for 40th, while Olivia Dose (81-73=154) is one shot behind them after a team-best 73 on Tuesday.
Idaho's Kayla Mortellaro leads the tournament with a four-under par 70-70=140.
The Bearcats (299-301=600) sit in eighth place in the team standings, four shots behind host New Mexico State (299-297=596) and one shot ahead of SMU (298-303=601).
Baylor, ranked No. 21 in the nation, leads the event with rounds of 288-286=574, two shots ahead of Idaho (290-286=576).
The final round will get underway on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. MT.
