CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati rookie Mackenzie Grause (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) has been named a Top-100 Freshman by TopDrawerSoccer.com.

"It's great she's been recognized by Top Drawer Soccer," said Michelle Salmon, UC women's soccer head coach. "Obviously, she had a fantastic freshman campaign and I know she's eager to build upon her early success. When it's all said and done, there's no doubt in my mind that she's going to have an outstanding career at UC."

Grause, who checked in at No. 61 on Top Drawer Soccer's list, led the Bearcats in scoring in 2011 after totaling 15 points and six goals.

The top-100 rating by Top Drawer is the second such accolade presented to Grause this year. The 5-foot-8 forward was named the BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week on Sept. 12 for her performance at the College of Charleston Cup, where she produced three goals and two assists in two matches.

Grause will have another opportunity to add to her trophy case Thursday when the BIG EAST announces its all-conference and all-rookie teams.

In addition to Grause, UC expects to have several first-year student-athletes land on the conference all-rookie team after getting stellar performances this season from goalkeeper Kristina Utley (Castro Valley, Calif./Castro Valley) and midfielders Megan Cravenor (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lakota West) and Christi Howard (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson).
