The University of Cincinnati (2-0) welcomes Presbyterian (2-2) to Fifth Third Areana on Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest. The game will be available for free via live stream video on the Internet at GoBEARCATS.com.
UC guards Cashmere Wright (23 points) and Dion Dixon (20 points) led the Bearcats to a 73-59 home victory over Jacksonville State on Tuesday. The Bearcats built a 44-21 halftime advantage and led by as many as 27 points at 48-21 with 18:25 left in the game before holding off a pesky Jacksonville State squad. The Gamecocks trimmed UC's lead to 10 points twice inside the final two minutes of the game before the Bearcats secured the win.
Presbyterian suffered an 80-73 setback at home to Western Carolina on Thursday. Four Blue Hose scored in double fi gures led by forward Al'Lonzo Coleman and guard Josh Johnson, who scored 18 points each.
Saturday's contest is the fi rst in series history between the two schools. The Bearcats are 8-1 all-time against current members of the Big South Conference.
