MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Three University of Cincinnati volleyball players received awards for their performances during the 2011 season on Thursday night during the BIG EAST Conference Awards Banquet.

Senior Missy Harpenau (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) and junior Jordanne Scott (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North), were named to the 2011 All-BIG EAST First Team. While freshman setter Caylin Mahoney (Fort Worth, Texas/Keller Central) earned a spot on the second team.

Harpenau, an outside hitter, is third in the BIG EAST in service aces per set (0.39), sixth in points per set (4.17) and sixth in kills per set (3.50). Earlier in the season, she was honored with a conference Player of the Week award, the second of her career.

Scott, who was one of two unanimous first-team selections, is fifth in the BIG EAST in hitting percentage (.318), seventh in kills per set (3.45) and fifth in points per set (4.18). This is the middle blocker's second first-team all-conference award in as many years.

Mahoney's second-team recognition made her one of five freshmen honored between the first and second teams. The three-time BIG EAST Freshman of the Week recipient is currently second in the conference with 10.90 assists per set.

Cincinnati (22-8, 12-2 BIG EAST) finished the regular season second in BIG EAST play behind Louisville.
