OXFORD, Ohio - The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams are set to compete in the 18th annual Miami University Invitational, Thursday through Saturday, at Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center.

Besides the host school, Miami, the Bearcats will matchup against Denison, Emory, Southern Illinois and Wright State, as well as divers from around the U.S. and China.

The UC men (0-4) will rely on a steady meet from senior Haywood Miller (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase/Maryland), who scored 54 individual points for the Bearcats in their previous meet, Nov. 18-20 at the Pittsburgh Invitational from.

Miller enters the Miami Invite as the No. 2 seed in the 100-yard breaststroke, the No. 4 seed in the 200 breaststroke, 200 IM and 400 IM.

The Cincinnati women's team, 1-3 on the season, has received outstanding performances from senior Liz Hansson (Lund, Sweden/School of St. Petri).

Hansson, the 2011 BIG EAST Conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle, is listed as top seed in five events - 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 back and 200 back - and the No. 2 seed in the 400 IM.

Action is set to begin with timed finals at 6 p.m. Thursday. Friday and Saturday's competitions will be broken up into prelims at 9 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. each day. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 18.

Friday: 200 Freestyle Relay, 200 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 400 IM, 50 Freestyle, 400 Medley Relay, Women's 3-Meter Diving and Men's 1-Meter Diving
Saturday: 200 Medley Relay, 200 Backstroke, 500 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 200 Breaststroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 IM, 400 Freestyle Relay, Women's 1-Meter Diving and Men's 3-Meter Diving
