2011 AVCA All-Region Teams

CINCINNATI - Senior outside hitter Missy Harpenau (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mother of Mercy) and junior right side hitter Jordanne Scott (Indianapolis, Ind. /Lawrence North) have been named to the Northeast Regional team as announced by the AVCA.

The two hitters have both garnered the All-Region honors for the second time in their careers. Harpenau was Honorable Mention in 2009 and Scott was named to the All-Region team in 2010.

Harpenau finished her career as the sixth member of the UC 1,000 Kill-1,000 Dig Club. She averaged 3.37 kills per set and 2.99 digs per set, both good for second on the team. She leads the team with 48 aces on the year.

Scott has come on strong in her third year in a Bearcat uniform. She led the team with 482 kills and 3.54 kills per set. She is second on the team with 111 total blocks on the year. Scott also takes the top spot on the team in hitting percentage with a .319 mark, good for fifth on the career charts.

There are 12 total honorees from the BIG EAST Conference named to the Northeast Regional team, including the region's major award winners Marquette's Chelsea Heier (Freshman of the Year) and Head Coach Bond Shymansky (Coach of the Year).
