CINCINNATI - Nine Bearcats scored at least three points as the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team rolled to a 101-70 win over Radford University Saturday afternoon at Fifth Third Arena.

Cincinnati (7-3) shot a red-hot 60.3 percent from the field (38 for 63) and made 10 three-point field goals in its second game utilizing a four-guard lineup.

Four Bearcats reached double-digit point totals, led by junior point guard Cashmere Wright (Savannah, Ga./Urban Christian Academy), who led all scorers with a career-high 25 points. Redshirt sophomore Sean Kilpatrick (White Plains, N.Y./Notre Dame Prep) totaled 16 points, senior guard Dion Dixon (Chicago, Ill./Crane Technical Prep Common) added 15 and freshman forward Jermaine Sanders (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Rice) produced a season-best 12.

The Bearcats used four separate double-digit scoring runs to play with a sizeable lead for most of the game. Their fourth such run came at the 17:47 mark of the second half, when they went on a 13-0 run that featured seven points from Dixon and extended its lead to 71-28.

Junior guard Jaquon Parker (Suffolk, Va./King's Fork) nearly secured a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. Parker's nine boards ties his career high previously set March 10, 2010 against Louisville.

Cincinnati surpassed the 100-point plateau when freshman guard Ge'Lawn Gwyn (Georgetown, Ky./South Kent Prep) drove the length of the court and netted a right-handed layup with 1:43 left, marking the first time UC reached the century mark since scoring 105 against North Carolina A&T on Dec. 30, 2005.

UC went into halftime leading 55-23 after running off at least 10 straight points on three separate occasions. The 55 points in the first half were one shy of tying the highest point total in any half during the Cronin era (56 points vs. Notre Dame, 2/4/09, and vs. Utah Valley, 12/11/10).

The Bearcats opened the game with 12-0 run that featured five quick points from Wright and Kilpatrick.

Following Radford's first bucket of the game at the 15:35 mark, Cincinnati went on a 10-0 run to extend its lead to 29-5 with 10:49 remaining in the first half.

An alley-oop dunk and three-point play by redshirt freshman Kelvin Gaines (Ocala, Fla./Arlington Country Day) capped off an 11-0 run that made the score 50-17 at the 4-minute mark of the first half. Gaines finished with three points, four rebounds and two blocks.

UC shot 65.6 percent from the field in the first, including 5 of 10 from three-point range. Wright and Kilpatrick carried the offensive load in the first period with point totals of 15 and 11, respectively.

Cincinnati returns to action Wednesday when it welcomes Arkansas Pine-Bluff to town for a 7 p.m. contest at Fifth Third Arena.
