Cincinnati Game Notes
The University of Cincinnati travels to the nation's capital on Monday to battle nationally ranked Georgetown. The 9 p.m. ET contest will be televised by ESPNU and ESPN3 and also can be heard on 700 WLW-AM radio.
The Bearcats are coming off a buzzer-beating 57-55 loss on Saturday to St. John's that snapped UC's seven-game win streak. The Red Storm's Moe Harkless putback a St. John's miss at the buzzer to thwart UC's second-half comeback from 15 down. Sean Kilpatrick led the Bearcats with 21 points and four three-pointers. Yancy Gates scored 10 points to go with seven rebounds.
Georgetown saw its 11-game win streak end on Saturday as well when the Hoyas dropped a 74-62 decision at West Virginia.
The Hoyas lead the series with Cincinnati 5-4, including a 4-2 edge in Washington D.C. The Bearcats won both meetings last season.
Cincinnati has won its last five BIG EAST road games, including a 66-63 victory at then-No. 22 Pittsburgh on New Year's Day.
