CINCINNATI- The University of Cincinnati tennis team will open the new year with a pair of road matches. UC will battle No. 20 Notre Dame on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. in the Eck Tennis Pavilion. The Bearcats will then head to Miami (OH) for a 3:30 p.m. contest on Sunday, Jan. 22, at Riverside Racquet Club.
The Bearcats are led by senior Safiyya Ismail and juniors Jasmine Lee, Caitlin O'Gara (coming off an injury that sidelined her for the bulk of the 2010-11 season), and Elise Woulfe . Talented youth make up the remainder of the lineup with sophomores Ashleigh Witte and Carly Wilson seeing action as freshman last year. Sophomore transfer Sierra Sullivan and freshman mid-year freshman enrollee Kristina Georgieva will see time as well.

The Bearcats open the home schedule next weekend, welcoming Bowling Green to Western Tennis and Fitness Club on Friday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m.
