CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team welcomes Bowling Green for its home opener on Friday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. in the Western Tennis and Fitness Club.
The Bearcats are 0-2 after dropping road contests at No. 20 Notre Dame (7-0) and Miami (OH) (6-1) last weekend. Sophomore Ashleigh Witte is 1-1 in singles play to lead UC on the young season.
Bowling Green is 1-0 after a 5-2 win at Duquesne last weekend. BG's Nikki Chiricosta was named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 26 after earning wins at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles position in the win against Duquesne.
