LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Cincinnati indoor track and field team wrapped up day one of action at the Rod McCravy Memorial meet at the Nutter Field House.

A limited number of UC student-athletes took part in Friday's field events. The running events get underway on Saturday morning.

Sarah Rasnick too second in the pole vault. Her best effort of 3.87 meters (12-08.25) was tied with South Carolina's Petra Olsen and Kentucky's Shelby Kennard, but Rasnick cleared her height on the first attempt handing her the second-place finish.

Emily Clay and Michell Eby finished in a tie for sixth place, clearing 3.72 meters (12-02.50).

Shanay Portis leapt 5.86 (19-02.75) meters on her first attempt in the long jump, placing her seventh. Alyssa Edley was 35th with a best jump of 5.04 meters (16-06.50) and Kaitlyn Good took 40th with a best effort of 4.93 meters (16-02.25). Dominique Best was 45th with a jump of 4.75 meters (15-07.00).

Jessica Molyet was 21st in the weight throw with a heave of 14.86 meters (48-09.00). Mekayla Breland took 25th with her toss of 14.09 meters (46-02.75). Bridget McNeill came in 30th with a throw of 12.48 meters (40-11.50). Frida Akerstrom fouled on her three preliminary attempts.

Saturday's events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the women's high jump and women's triple jump. Saturday will end at 5:05 p.m. with the men's 4x400-meter relay.
