Cincinnati Looks to Snap Three-Game Skid Saturday against DePaul

The University of Cincinnati looks to end a three-game losing streak Saturday when it plays host to DePaul. The contest starts at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised by the BIG EAST Network locally on FOX Sports Ohio. The game also can be heard on 700 WLW-AM. (The contest is subject to blackout on ESPN3 in Cincinnati, Upstate New York, and Central and Southern Florida.)

The Bearcats (15-7, 5-4 BIG EAST) are coming off a 61-54 setback at Rutgers last Saturday. Dion Dixon led UC with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and a trio of three-pointers. Yancy Gates just missed posting his fourth consecutive double-double game with 16 points and eight rebounds.

DePaul (11-10, 2-7 BIG EAST) suffered an 87-71 home setback to St. John's on Wednesday. Blue Demon Melvin Cleveland led all scorers with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

UC leads the all-time series with DePaul 33-15. The Bearcats have won the last three meetings, including both matchups last season: 76-60 at Cincinnati (12/28/10) and 71-68 at DePaul (2/8/11).

-Prior to UC's current three-game losing streak, the Bearcats had won 10 of 11 games and five of its first six league contests.

-The Bearcats have not lost four consecutive games since the last four contests of the 2008-09 campaign, dropping their last three regular season games (at Syracuse [87-63 on 3/1]; at USF [70-59 on 3/3]; and at home against Seton Hall [67-63 in overtime on 3/7] and a BIG EAST Championship matchup with DePaul [67-57 on 3/10].
