CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team welcomes Wright State on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m. in the Western Tennis and Fitness Club.
The Bearcats dropped to 0-7 after a 7-0 road loss against the Kentucky Wildcats (6-1) on Saturday, Feb.11 in the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center. Jasmine Lee and Ashleigh Witte picked up a doubles play win with a 8-5 decision against UK's Khristina Blajkevitch and Jessica Stiles. UC was unable to secure the doubles point, as Kentucky won each of the followiing doubles play matches.
Ashleigh Witte continued her tough play in singles action with a 7-6 first set victory over Khristina Blajkevitch, before falling 6-0, 6-3 in sets two and three.
Wright State (1-5) is coming off of their first win of the season, a 7-0 home victory over Norhtwestern Ohio. The Raiders were led by quick work from Kayla Tuscany who topped Northwestern Ohio's Andrea Arango 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets.
