The Bearcats (20-8, 10-5 BIG EAST) have won five of their last six games after beating No. 17 Louisville 60-56 at Fifth Third Arena on Thursday night. Cashmere Wright scored a game-high 22 points, tying a career-high with six three-pointers. Yancy Gates recorded his ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bulls (17-11, 10-5 BIG EAST) saw their four-game win streak end Wednesday in a 56-48 setback at No. 2 Syracuse. Anthony Collins led USF with 12 points and 10 assists.
Cincinnati leads 23-7 in its series with USF. The Bulls have won the last three meetings in Tampa. The Bearcats won both games a year ago: 74-66 at Fifth Third Arena on Jan. 12 and 87-61 in the second round of the 2011 BIG EAST Championship on March 9.
