Women's Golf Opens Spring Season at Sir Pizza Cards Challenge

WESTON, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team will open its 2012 spring season on Monday, Feb. 27, at the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge at the Weston Hills Country Club.

The Bearcats are one of 14 teams taking part in the three-day tournament. The squads will play 27 holes on Monday, and 18 on Tuesday.

Andrea Malek led the Bearcats during the fall campaign, averaging 75.4 strokes per round with a low of 67 in a second-place finish at the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational.

Teams participating include host Louisville, Texas State, Kansas, NC State, Missouri, Florida Int., Miami (Fla.), UNCW, South Florida, Memphis, East Tennessee State, Delaware, Southern Mississippi.
