USF Invitational - First Round Results

DADE CITY, Fla. - University of Cincinnati junior David Tepe posted a 2-over par 74 on Sunday and is tied for 23rd place after first-round play at the USF Invitational at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.

Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) is 12 shots behind tournament leader Jose Joia from Central Florida, who carded a 7-under par 65.

Central Florida leads the team standings after finishing the opening round with a 4-under par 284. Cincinnati, competing in its first tournament of the spring season, is in 16th place at 312.

Other Bearcats competing include freshman Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome), who is tied for 56th place at 78th; junior Andrew Desmarais (Union, Ky./Ryle) and freshman Michael Wolfe (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller), who each posted an 80 to finish tied for 72nd; and junior Matt Ledom (Leawood, Kan./Rockhurst Jesuit Prep), who completed the first day with a 92 to place at 90th.

The three-day tournament continues Monday.
