TALLAHASSE, Fla.- University of Cincinnati junior Andrew Desmarais slipped into a tie for 41st place after carding a 4-over par 71 following the second round in the Seminole Intercollegiate at Southwood Country Club.
Desmarais (Union, Ky./Ryle) is now 71-75= 146 and 12 shots behind tournament leader Chase Seifert of host Florida State. Seifert closed out the second day 67-67=134. Eighth ranked Georgia Tech remains in first place with 278-274=552. UC fell into a tie with James Madison for 14th place earning a 291-302=593 score.
At 6-above par 142, junior David Tepe and freshman Jared Howard are both tied for 48th place. Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) carded a 73-75=148. Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) finished the second round 72-76=148. Freshman Michael Wolf (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) is nine shots behind par 142 with a score of 75-76= 151. Junior Matt Ledom (Leawood, Kan./Rockhurst Jesuit Prep) did not compete.
