TOLEDO, OHIO - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team fell to the Toledo Rockets in a 5-2 decision on Sunday afternoon in Toledo, Ohio.

The Bearcats were rewarded with a default win in doubles play, but fell in the remaining two matches, allowing Toledo (5-6) to capture the doubles point.

Jasmine Lee and Ashleigh Witte dropped a heartbreaking 9-8 decision to Kelsey Anonsen and Lexy Pitt. Kristina Georgieva and Safiyya Ismailfell as well, with a tough 9-7 decision against UT's Chrissy Coffman and Pia Rygh.

UC picked up two singles play wins, one of which was by default. Kristina Georgievawas able to secure a victory in three sets with a 4-6, 7-6, 10-1 decision.

Four Bearcats were defeated in straight sets. Jasmine Lee fell to Kelsey Anonsen 7-5, 6-2, with Ashleigh Witte dropping a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Lexy Pitt. Sierra Sullivan dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Chrissy Coffman, while Safiyya Ismailfell 6-0, 6-1 against Toledo's Amanda Border.

Cincinnati (4-10) returns to action on Friday, March 30, at 3 p.m. when they travel to Milwaukee, Wis. to face the Marquette Golden Eagles.
