TALLAHASSE, Fla. - University of Cincinnati junior Andrew Desmarais (Union, Ky./Ryle) finished the Seminole Intercollegiate at Southwood Country Club in a tie for 58h place by scoring a final round 6-over par 77.
Desmarais' score of 71-75-77=223 put him 19 shots behind tournament champion Brooks Koepka of host Florida State (69-69-66=204).
Twenty-eighth ranked Florida State reclaimed the lead from 8th ranked Georgia Tech to earn the top spot with 23-under par 852 (278-279-272=829). Cincinnati fell to 17th place after carding a 291-302-318=911 over the three-day tournament.
Junior David Tepe shot UC's best score of the day with a 5-over par 71 to finish in a tie for 64th place. Tepe (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) scored a 72-76-76=224. In 87th place, junior Jared Howard (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) earned a 73-75-83=231. Freshman Michael Wolf (Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) ended today 11 shots above par with a total score of 75-76-82= 233. Junior Matt Ledom (Leawood, Kan./Rockhurst Jesuit Prep) did not compete in the tournament.
The Bearcats will travel to Columbia, Mo. for the Missouri Intercollegiate, April 9-10.
