Round 1 Results

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team is tied for 12th place after 18 holes at the UC Spring Invitational at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa.

Andrea Malek led the Bearcats with a first-round 74, which is tied for 10th place. Alex Carl and Maria Roos each carded rounds of 79, which tied for 46th. Mackenzie Moir posted an 83 to round out UC's scoring.

The Bearcats posted a team 315, which tied with Embry-Riddle for 12th. Florida International leads the field with a first-round 290, nine shots ahead of second-place Stetson (299).

Shelby Coyle of Florida International leads the individual competition after firing a 69 over her first 18 holes. North Dakota State's Amy Anderson was one shot back with a 70.

Round two will get underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Saturday, March 23.
