CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team moved into a tie for 10th place after the second round of the UC Spring Invtational at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa on Saturday.
Maria Roos led the way for UC, which posted 315-314=629 to get within two strokes of Seton Hall (307-320=627) and Seminole State (312-315=627), who are tied for eighth.
Roos fired a season-best 74 and currently sits tied for 24th with rounds of 79-74=153. Andrea Malek is tied for 29th after shooting 74-81=155, while Alex Carl sits in a tie for 44th with rounds of 79-80=159.
Olivia Dose shot a 79 on Saturday after withdrawing on Friday with an injury.
Florida International continues to lead, posting rounds of 290-294=584. The Panthers lead is 21 shots over second-place Stetson (299-306=605).
Shelby Coyle of Florida International leads the individual competition with rounds of 69-72=141. North Dakota State's Amy Anderson (70-74=144) is three shots back in second place.
The final round will get underway on Sunday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
